The Global Risk Institute invites you to join a conversation with the Honourable Anita Anand, President of the Treasury Board, Government of Canada. She will share her approach and expectations for effective risk management in public sector decision making. The session will explore current issues of key importance, including:

• Top economic risks of concern, and her thoughts on mitigation strategies and potential opportunities
• Emerging risks such as talent and skills shortages, as well as risk management challenges that still lie ahead
• Progress, lessons learned and future outcomes for enterprise risk management in government and the financial sector.

The Honourable Anita Anand, Member of Parliament for Oakville, has a distinguished background in law, academia, and public service. As a former Minister of Public Services and Procurement, and Minister of National Defence, she has significant expertise in governance and regulation. Minister Anand has also served as a Professor of Law at the University of Toronto where she held the J.R. Kimber Chair, and has been actively involved in various policy initiatives related to financial advisory and planning. Her leadership in public service is complemented by her extensive experience in corporate governance and financial market regulation.
