The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of our Canadian Economy and How to Fix it

April 8 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Please join us at our latest webinar in our GRI Macroeconomic Policy series as we hear from leading Canadian economists Don Drummond and Jack Mintz as they discuss what's wrong with our Canadian economy and offer monetary and fiscal policy suggestions to address our economic challenges.
After more than a decade of unprecedented economic pressures since the Global Financial Crisis of 2008/2009 and the fallout forces of the current pandemic, Canada's real economic growth rate is the worst since the Great Depression.
Together, they will discuss a broad range of economic topics, including:
  • Canada's economic growth and productivity challenges
  • How to deal with our debt burden caused by the pandemic
  • Should we expect inflation and can we keep it under control
