Abstract

Evolving societal trends and recent events point to the clear need for financial institutions to focus on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

This paper examines the role of Boards in leading their organizations on DEI issues. It outlines practical suggestions for how to implement progressive measures to monitor DEI, beyond gender, across boards and C-suites, and put rigor into establishing targets, monitoring results and rewarding desired outcomes.
