Hands holding green globe in green environment

About the Submission:

July, 2022

The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) published Exposure Draft “IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures” (Climate Exposure Draft). It builds on the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), incorporating industry-based disclosure requirements derived from Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) standards.

The Climate Exposure Draft sets out proposed requirements to identify, measure, and disclose climate-related risks and opportunities. It is meant to be used in conjunction with ISSB’s IFRS S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information, and be used alongside information from an entity’s general-purpose financial reporting. The Climate Exposure Draft was open for comment Between March and July 2022. GRI submitted its comments based on its extensive experience in climate risk management and sustainability reporting.
