Speakers Pierre-Carl Michaud and Pierre-Yves Yanni from HEC Montreal will present the innovative tool built by HEC Montréal’s Retirement and Savings Institute with the support of the Global Risk Institute, National Pension Hub. The tool accounts in a detailed manner for all major features of the tax and transfer system, and includes a stochastic component that allows to generate ranges of possible outcomes given possible future values of several key variables (e.g. household’s wages, interest rates, investment returns, etc.). Results obtained for a 2018 cohort will also be briefly presented.
