Boards are expected to navigate the impacts of climate-related risks on their firm’s business model and strategy. OSFI recently issued regulation B-15, which sets out climate reporting and disclosure requirements and expectations, along with timing for implementation by Federally Regulated Financial Institutions (FRFIs). This development is a noteworthy advancement for the industry and will be elaborated on in subsequent iterations, with implications for scenario analysis, stress testing and potentially updated capital requirements.


This session will explain how the regulation impacts board members’ leadership and oversight responsibilities for climate risk, including enterprise risk, strategy, audit and governance.
